As your PSC for interior decoration and styling I can help you with as little or as much as you desire. From working on a single room re-design, such as a nursery, to a whole house remodel, the decision is yours!
I will start by meeting with you free of charge for 30 minutes to give us a chance to get acquainted and to give you an opportunity to ask me any questions you might have.
If you decide to work with me, you can be assured that your final décor will be stylish and harmonious while reflecting who you really are.
A home should be a mirror of one personality, culture and style and not a showcase of the latest trends. Here is an overview of what you can expect from our partnership.
Interior Decoration & Styling: 5 steps to style success
STEP 1
My goal in this first consultation is to get to know your personality and life style better so I can clearly assess and understand your particular project and expectations. Together we can determine where you might want or need my involvement. You can involve me before or after your architectural drawings are in hands. (As a Style Coach I am not licensed to do drawings).
It is generally better if I am involved prior to the final plan approval and release of building permits as I have proven to be very successful with space planning. This should however not stop you if you already have plans in hand as I can also work with you within the framework of your defined layout.
STEP 2
Once we have defined the optimal room flow, maximization of light and energy in the room. We will need to define your budget.
STEP 3
Once your layout is defined and your budget is set, we will work on Spatial Composition and on Style. Your style and the house’s style need to be in harmony. The inside d écor should be a natural extension of the overall style of the exterior of the house (era, architecture style). For example, it might be awkward or impossible to create a true Victorian style in a 1970’s bungalow or a real Country French style kitchen in a modern high rise condo. We will work together to harmonize the designs ensuring that the architecture and inside décor feel like an integral part of one another.
STEP 4
Depending on the size of your project, we will then work on things such as color palette, surface material selection, trim and molding. I can help you choose items such as paint color, flooring, wallpaper, plumbing fixtures, appliances, hardware, light fixtures, furniture, window treatments, fabric for upholstery, drapes, throw pillows, bed linen, bath towels, decorating items such as water features, art and more. My goal is to help create YOUR harmonious space.
STEP 5
I will brief your contractor and subs and will oversee the implementation of the design of the project.
